Personal Statement
I am a Board Certified Family Physician licensed in Georgia, Florida, New Mexico, Arizona, North and South Carolina, New York, Ohio, Washington state, Kentucky, and Hawaii. I was born in Finland and became an American Citizen in 1999. I have completed an undergraduate degree, medical school, internship, and residency in the USA.
I have an interest in chronic illness, the role of nutrition, and the environment in human health. Over my years of locum clinical practice, I have worked in a variety of settings including rural clinics, urgent care clinics, military installations, and veteran's affairs. I have been studying functional and metabolic medicine fellowship program with A4M since 2013. I completed a skin cancer certificate and diploma in 2009-2011s with the Australasian College of Skin Cancer.
I am also fluent in Spanish.
I have a special interest in mold-related illness, food intolerances including SIBO, as well as diet, and lifestyle choices that affect our health and well-being. I also offer consultations for mold-related illness and chronic gastrointestinal symptoms including SIBO/SIFO.
